The quality of AC mains power has a direct influence on the performance of high-end audio equipment. Modern electrical power lines are often contaminated by switching loads, household appliances, and non-linear electronic devices that can introduce waveform distortion. When the AC waveform becomes asymmetrical, a small DC component may be present on the mains supply.

Even a relatively small DC offset can partially saturate the core of a power transformer, causing mechanical hum, vibration, reduced efficiency, and increased operating temperature. By eliminating this unwanted DC component, the transformer is able to operate under its intended conditions, resulting in quieter operation and improved power delivery.

This DC Blocker is engineered using premium components throughout. Internal wiring utilizes heavy-duty solid-core OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) conductors combined with Western Electric cloth-covered wire with oil capacitors. All current-carrying components are rated for up to 20A, and high-grade DC blocking capacitors are employed to ensure long-term reliability and stable performance.

The standard version is designed to handle audio systems with a total power consumption of up to 1000W. An optional high-current power cable and upgraded connector package increases the maximum supported load to 2000W, making it suitable for larger power amplifiers and complete audio systems. With OFC Furtech IEC power socket installed.

The unit is housed in a robust all-aluminum chassis that provides excellent mechanical strength and shielding. A detachable IEC power cable allows users to upgrade or customize power cords according to their system requirements.
