This is one of our best design of pure tubes phono pre-amplifier, it is equipped with all the desired features of a super hi-end phono stage. Variable input loading impedance for MC cartridges from 100ohm to 47Kohm, RC-RIAA (no NFB) ensures the most pure and open sound quality. A balanced output stage fully utilizes our balanced input pre-amplifier exceptional quality.
This phono stage use all tubes design including big rectifier tubes 5U4G, which can give you a very warm and open airy sound quality, making the vinyl even smoother, sweeter, and more alive than ever. A no-negative-feedback circuit ensures no compression in the sound stage. At least 20-30% more depth and width in the sound stage can be achieved, compared with traditional 2-3 tubes circuits with feedbacks.
A 50db gain for MM, and variable gain setting (0 to 25db) for the MC step-up stage (50db MM + 25db MC = 75db max ) can drive regular output MM or MC cartridge par with CD level, no more annoying big output level difference between digital and anlogue media.
This is our newest design with extremely low noise level, with higher dynamics and details as well. Due to the all tubes amplification nature, you can use whatever MM cartridge and get very satisfacation result, but we recommend limit to the use of high output MC and regular output MC cartridge only.
There are two separate gain controls sitting beside each 6SL7 output tube for left/right channel output level balancing purpose, so that you can use whatever NOS tubes you desiree, without the requirement of closely matchingn pair.
The 5U4G tube rectifier can further upgrade by our super rectifier STR-104 or higher models , direct plug and play without any modifications required.
With this super rectifier adaptor, you can use 300B, 2A3 , 45 , 50 , 80, 83, 1616 , 3B28 or 866A as rectifier tubes option.
