This is a hi-end state-of-the-art infra-red remote volume control passive pre-amplifier with 2 sets of remote controllable RCA inputs. This volume control has 100 steps, which can be controlled by an credit card size hand-held control or manually. This unit features manual volume + balance function, as well as remote controllable volume / balance / mute functions . The sonic performance of this 100 step volume pot is to the highest standard. The signal only pass through a precisely laser trimmed resistor network, L and R channel linearity within +/- 1% accuracy, no contact point or transistors to ruin the original signal, no noise or solid state distortion added . This device use very minimal power (less than 5W) and can run continuously without the need to turn off.

Standard input impedance of this remote volume control / passive pre-amp is 100Kohm , which can easily match either tube or solid-state signal source.

The sound quality can be describe as very pure and natural without coloration, and exceptionally transparent with micro details, much better than those step resistor volume pot or transformer coupled volume pot, where their contact points will develope noise with time.
