RV-001 work with amplifier to provide remote volume capability

This is a hi-end state-of-the-art infra-red remote volume control, or single input and single output passive pre-amplifier. This volume control has 100 levels which can be controlled by an Univeral remote hand-held control or manually. This unit features manual volume + balance function, as well as remote controllable volume / balance / mute functions . The signal quality of this 100 step volume pot is up to the highest standards. The signal only pass through a precisely laser trimmed resistor network, L and R channel linearity within +/- 1% accuracy, no contact point or transistors ruin the original signal, no noise or solid state distortion will be added . This device use very minimal power (less than 5W) and can run continuously without the need to turn off the power.

The level control can select between "Linear" and "Log" mode, for low gain power amp, Linear mode will work smoother , and for high gain power amp , Log mode will be more appropriate.

Standard input impedance of this remote volume control / passive pre-amp is 100Kohm , which can easily match either tube or solid-state signal source.

The sound quality can be describe as very pure and natural without coloration, and exceptionally transparent with micro details.
