This power booster equipped over-current, over-temperature and over-loading protection, which can withstand the most hard to drive speaker loadings. With this special unit, your 3W 2A3 amp or 8W 300B amp can convert into 70W 2A3 or 70W 300B super amp with excellent bass extension, control and punch, you are no longer limited to use those handicap expensive full-range driver speakers, and still be able to get the excellent tonal character of those tubes.
With proper setting of the subsonic correction section, almost any speaker can output down to 12Hz , which can virtually enlarge your relatively smaller diameter woofer into big diameter woofer like 15" , 18" or even 30".
This unit can use in one of the following situations:
A. Stand alone stereo power amplifier mode:
With the built-in ASX-103, this setup can let you enjoy the subwoofer performance from your own speaker without the need of a bulky subwoofer.
B. Power Booster mode :
When hook up with a small power single-ended amplifier like SE-2A3 or SE-300B , this unit can boost their small power into 70Wrms per channel, and still hold the sweet and smooth airy 2A3 / 300B tonal quality, you can expereience super dynamics and powerful sound from those legend tubes
C. Bi-Amping mode:
Form a Bi-amping system with another amplifier and drive the low section, the regular amplifier will drive the high / full range . Without the need of an external bulky subwoofer, you can get a even better than subwoofer added performance from your own set of speakers.
